What the score checks
Four things, the same way every time.
Readable by tracking systems
An email address and phone number, dates on every job, and the standard Experience, Education and Skills headings that applicant tracking systems look for.
Shows results
How many bullets say what came of the work: time saved, errors cut, revenue, users served. Not every line can carry one; about six in ten gets full marks.
Clear wording
No duties ("responsible for"), no phrases that hide your part ("worked on", "helped with"), no clichés ("results-driven", "team player"), no I or my, no lines too long for the page.
Complete
Experience, education and a skills list, with the skills you list shown in the jobs where you used them.
Questions
About the résumé score
Is the résumé score free?
Yes. Each computer gets 3 free checks without an account. After that, a free account keeps it going.
Is my résumé stored?
No. It is read to score it and then dropped. If you sign up afterwards in the same browser, the file waits in your browser so you don’t upload it again.
What does “it can be” mean?
The score your résumé would get with its wording fixed and standard headings, which is what BunnyHire’s rewrite changes. Results, dates and contact details only come from you, so they are not counted.
How are the matching jobs counted?
With the same matching as the BunnyHire job feed: the kind of work your résumé shows, at your level, from the open jobs we have read in the last few weeks, before any location or salary filter.
Will the same résumé always get the same score?
Yes. The score comes from fixed rules, not a model’s opinion, and every problem quotes the line it is about.
